I love reading about everyone's ballpark trips. What a fun season for Royals fans.
I saw 10 Royals games in person this year, including two in Colorado and the two ALDS games. While the playoff atmosphere was incredible (mainly Game 3), my favorite game was Seth Lugo's first career complete game on July 21 against the Chicago White. The Kansas City crowd chanted, "Let's go, Lugo," as he recorded his final outs. Lugo was a terrific FA signing, and we are lucky to have him.
It was an awesome season. Lugo was a big part of it. He was great in the one time I got to see him in the regular season. He also pitched well in the playoff game I attended, but more on that next week. Thanks for reading, Shane, and sharing your experiences. And oh yeah, I didn't make it to Coors Field this year, but I love that place too.

I'm glad you enjoyed reading about my trips to the ballpark, Ed, because I sure enjoyed going. Can't wait to get out there again this year. Spring training is almost here, and it actually feels like it in KC today. I don't think it's going to last, but I'll take the 60 degree temps we're getting right now. With any luck, it will finally melt the snow we got at the beginning in the month!
KC and Cleveland are on my list to cross off. But dude, how does Cleveland not have mini helmet ice cream?! That’s the a cardinal sin for a baseball fan’s experience!! Thanks for sharing the memories!
Unforgivable, right? To be honest, I'm a little embarrassed by how much it actually did taint my visit- I'm supposed to be a grown man, after all- but it was still a good time. And I may be biased, but the K is great. I don't know how much time it has left though. Not even the Royals know where they're going next, but they will most likely be playing someplace else by 2030. Hopefully, the next stadium will be great, but as a baseball fan, you owe it to yourself to experience the K!
